Ivan Goran Kovačić's museum - Lukovdol
Lukovdol - the birth-place of the poet Ivan Goran Kovačić and the cultural center of the town of Vrbovsko. The house of Ivan Goran Kovačić has been turned into a memorial museum which also houses the gallery, the library and the memorial area featuring a permanent exhibition of Goran's life and his work.
Goran has given himself completely - his art and his life. This is where his eternal youth arises from, and all his springs - "Goran's spring", a manifestation that is held each year on May 21st, the first day of spring and Goran's birthday (1913), at his birth-place, Lukovdol. Besides Goran's house which was renovated in the summer of 2003, make sure to visit the amphitheatre which features the monument by Vojin Bakić.
